CABO: Part 1 Girly Time

As much as I love my man... I still need my girl time. We went down to our place in Cabo for the week and Drew couldn't make it down until Wednesday so...I had one of my favorite chicas fly down and meet me in Cabo for the first half. I'm so glad she came down because she just moved to LA and I never get to see her anymore. It was Jackie's first trip to Cabo and we definitely made the most of it.

We spent our afternoons at the beach and the resort pool for happy hours where Jackie and I would do 2 for 1 pina colada's and miami vice's until our heads would spin! Once we were nice and tan, we would get ready for nights out in downtown Cabo.

We went to our favorite restaurant the first night we got in (and the first night Drew got in, that's how much we love this place) Me, Jackie, and Marci went out after eating with my amazing family at Romeo y Julieta's. I will never forget Jackie's face when I told her our favorite restaurant in Cabo was an Italian restuarant- Classic!

One morning we woke up early and went to my all time favorite breakfast spot on the marina- Solomon's Landing.

I have the prettiest friend and sister! We went to Cabo Wabo this night and had to dress the part to fit in!

I love our trips to Cabo and having Jackie there with me and my family was the cheery on top to a perfect trip.

Good Food and Great Friends

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.....

Life has been very full!
After graduating college, I am working at Nordstrom while also working at David and Sam PR (a PR firm in Phoenix). Drew and I rarely get to see eachother, so when we do we have to make them count. Which means....Date nights to our favorites restaurants and spending time with the amazing people in our lives.

We went to Olive and Ivy for Sunday lounging and some sangria. We couldn't resist the flatbread :)

A few nights later, we went to Oregano's with some of our favorite people Josh and Sean Grandinetti. After a mix-up of where to go, and driving to three different restaurants...we finally made it to Oregano's

Even with all of the craziness going on in our lives right now, we always make sure to find time for good food and great friends. We'll be seeing Bad Teacher tomorrow night with the Grandinetti's- so stayed tuned for more with them!

Who's a College Graduate? I AM!

After 4 long years of writing papers, doing homework, and staying in every weekend studying (alright, maybe that isn't how the last part went) I'm happy to say that I graduated college!! It feels like I just started at ASU as a little freshman walking on a HUGE campus thinking oh crap where are my classes? And all four years just waiting till the day that I was able to walk across the stage with all my family watching and accept my diploma. Now that it's over I realize just how quickly those 4 years actually went and how much I'm going to miss those out there lectures by the crazy professors, and the 10 page research papers...because now the real world starts and that's even scarier than being in college. It's a bittersweet feeling to be done, but I am very proud of myself and happy to accomplish a goal that I've always wanted to accomplish. Here are the highlights from the day...

Somehow I ended up in the row directly next to my fan club so they were able to take pictures throughout the entire thing and watch their graduate up close!

About to accept my diploma...I was so nervous!
I did it! Finally able to smile and enjoy the rest of the show!

And it's time to turn our tassels from the left to the right!!
All of the amazing people that were there to support me! Drew's entire family came in town for my graduation, I am going to have the best in-laws.

My graduation brunch took place at House of Tricks (probably my favorite restaurant in Tempe) it has the best food ever and it's all outside under huge trees. The restaurant itself is two old houses in Tempe that were combined together into that restaurant which is beautiful! My mom and Drew both gave speeches on how much they love me and how proud they are- it was one of the best memories I'll always have.

Spring Time

Now I know it's a little late to be posting this but better late than never.

I love the spring- it's full of flowers, bright colors, and 2 amazing holiday's, Easter and Mother's Day!

This was the first Mother's Day that my sister was actually a Mom so it was extra special. We started the morning with church and it was Asher's first time ever going to church! He was so good and didn't make a peep the entire time!

After church we went to my grandparents house for brunch and our annual Easter Egg Hunt (which I won with finding 67 eggs!)

Asher the snuggle Bunny with his grandma!

                                                               Asher's favorite Auntie

New Man in My LIfe

For those of you who don't know already, I became an Aunt on January 13, 2011. My sister and her husband JD are such great parents and made the cutest kid ever (I swear I'm not biased at all!) Why I love my new little man so much....

1. He is the happiest baby in the world. Literally. He never cries and he's always giggling and smiling.
2. He looks identical to my dad who is the coolest man you'll ever meet.
3. He makes little baby noises that my Fiancee Drew is obsessed with and tries to make the same noises himself.. it's clearly not the same.
4. I get to play with him whenever I want, and then give him back whenever I want!
5. I get to roll around on the ground and be silly while playing with him and no one judges me or thinks I'm weird.. well maybe just a little.
6. He makes my entire family light up and brings us together to be an even closer family than we arleady were because we all want to spend time with him as much as we can.
7. He likes to party. Marci and Asher (and sometimes Aunt Michelle) party all day while daddy JD is at work.
8. He lets any and everybody hold him and doesn't cry. I don't know any other baby who will let 15 people hold in an hour and be totally cool with it.
9. He is so strong already and he's only 4 months! He can already roll over- amazing!
10. The 10th reason why I love him so much is because he is my first nephew and my sister's first baby. He's the first baby in the family since me which means we are spoiling him and loving on him so much! He gets bundles of love from all of us and I just love my little man!!

Look at how happy he is! He's always like this!!

I die when I see these cheeks. My little chunky monkey is the most precious thing in the world.

Where to say "I Do"

The first and maybe most important step in planning a wedding (at least to me) is where we should say I Do to eachother. Drew and I are struggling with this decision because we want to get married in Arizona because it's where we live and will be starting a life and a family together, however, we are torn because we want to get married looking at the beach in Maui with those most important to us.

This is what the ceremony location looks like in Maui- maybe the most peaceful and intimate setting we could possibly imagine.

Our other option is getting married at the place we call home, Arizona. Drew loves the Farm at South Mountain so if we get married in AZ, this is the number one spot as of right now. I love the ceremony location under the huge Oak Tree.

This is where our reception would be held, and looks completely gorgeous at night with all the trees lit up around it. This is such a difficult decision for us to make, because we don't care where we get married as long as we are getting married to each other. We just want wherever we say "I Do" to be a place that represents our style and allows us to be with the people we love. We can't wait to be married!!

Engagement Dinner

After Drew proposed, he had champagne and strawberries waiting. We drank some champagne and then he took me to the Rusty Pelican- A restaurant in Newport Beach overlooking the harbor. We celebrated our engagement with our fun waiter, Jordon!

Jordon helped make our engagment so much fun with the crazy stories he told us and the flowing champagne he kept filling for us!

Drew and I having fun and being silly after dinner. We have more fun when we're together than we do with anyone else
